Our Story.

Lier Development Group was founded by Drew and Sarah Lier, partners in both life and work, who share a belief that development should do more than provide structures. It should strengthen communities, respect place, and create something meaningful for the people who live there.

Before LDG existed, Drew spent over a decade working in real estate development, leading residential and neighborhood-scale projects from early planning through ownership of outcomes. That experience shaped how he views development: Not as a series of transactions, but as a responsibility; one that requires patience, collaboration, and an understanding of how decisions made early on ripple outward over time.

As LDG took shape, Sarah brought a complementary perspective rooted in operations, strategy, and structure. Her background in building systems, organizing complex processes, and supporting people behind the scenes ensures that vision is matched with clarity and execution. Together, their partnership balances big-picture thinking with disciplined follow-through.

Drew Lier, Owner & CEO

Drew brings over a decade of hands-on experience leading residential and community-scale development projects across the Omaha region. While he’s known for his ability to see the full lifecycle of a development, from early planning and entitlement through construction and long-term stewardship, what truly sets him apart is the way he builds relationships.

When he’s not on a job site, Drew is usually outdoors, building something, golfing, or fishing; often with gear he’s made himself. He brings the same care, patience, and craftsmanship to his work that he values in time spent on hobbies and with Sarah and their three kids.: Home

Sarah Lier, Co-Founder & COO

Sarah leads operations and internal systems at Lier Development Group, ensuring that vision is supported by structure and execution. With a background in organizational leadership and process development, she focuses on building the frameworks that allow projects, and people, to operate efficiently, transparently, and with intention.

More about SarahShe plays a key role in shaping partnerships, refining internal processes, and aligning day-to-day operations with LDG’s long-term goals. Sarah brings a people-centered mindset to development, emphasizing clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a strong foundation before growth.

Outside of LDG, Sarah can be found at the gym with friends, reading, or managing the Lier household. Her appreciation for structure, balance, and consistency shows up both at home and in the systems she builds at LDG.
